A concept commissioned by the German-speaking Lutheran community in Nairobi to reimagine and expand their existing church and community spaces. Working with the site's established context, the proposal explores how the congregation's social and spiritual life can grow without losing its intimate character.

Expanding Without Enclosing
Rather than adding mass, the proposal introduces a porous steel frame that reads as a continuation of the existing building's spirit — open to light, rooted in its site, and scaled to its congregation.
